Julie Farris lives and works in New York City. A native New Yorker, Julie received her MLA from Harvard University Graduate School of Design in Cambridge, Massachusetts and her BA from Vassar College.
Julie’s work focuses on residential gardens in New York City, Connecticut, and the East End of Long Island.
Additionally, Julie has contributed to international projects consisting of landscape masterplans for projects located in Rwanda and Nepal.
She has received many awards, including The Architectural Masterprize, The Architizer Award, as well as the AIA Brooklyn and Connecticut Awards for her work as a landscape designer. Her work has also appeared in numerous publications and books, including Design Brooklyn, Gardenista, The New York Times, Architectural Digest, Landscape Architecture Magazine, The Architect’s Newspaper and The New York Post.
More recently, Julie has started a one-stop shop for thoughtful outdoor design packages and ideas, called Landstylist.
She currently resides in Brooklyn with her husband and two children.
